I am not including the photograph of the neon orange caterpillar that Joshua found on this same walk, as I do not want to lose our new readership. It was an amazing specimen and I immediately gave it a home on a twig in our living room. Imagine our horror when we awoke the next morning to find it covered in wriggling white parasites!
